Colin McRae. Este nome, sozinho, já representa muito: considerado o pai do rally, o corredor britânico é tido como um herói entre os corredores da categoria. Entretanto, Colin morreu em 2007, num acidente de helicóptero próximo à sua casa no Reino Unido.Em 2007, a Codemasters lançou Colin McRae: DiRT, sexto jogo da franquia e considerado o mais realista simulador de rally já lançado. O jogo marcou os fãs como o jogo de maior sucesso da série. Agora, a companhia lança Colin McRae: DiRT 2.
O novo título traz o dobro de polígonos nos gráficos, isso significa que detalhes dos carros serão aperfeiçoados, DiRT 2 conta também com texturas de muito maior qualidade que seu antecessor, o que permitirá cenários ainda mais belos e diversificados.
